CLASS INFO | In Step Dance

At In Step Dance, we provide age and developmentally-appropriate classes to all of our students. We currently offer ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, and preschool classes, along with a mommy-and-me option. Each class description listed below includes age groupings along with what attire is needed. All of our classes, with the exception of our Creative Movement class, have the opportunity to participate in our year-end, fully costumed, showcase.

Creative Movement

Children will learn basic ballet movement and terminology through fun songs and the use of props. Activities constantly change to hold onto those short attention spans! Dance will allow your two-year-old to build motor skills, grace, and confidence. Student must already be 2.

Attire: Black Leotard, Pink Ballet Tights, Pink Ballet Slippers

Combo I

Suitable for ages 3-5. This class Introduces the basic steps of ballet, tap, and jazz. Shoes for all 3 disciplines are REQUIRED. Each class will either focus on all 3 OR 2 will be focused on according to the instructor’s discretion on a rotating basis.

Attire: Black Leotard, Pink or Tan Ballet Tights, Pink Ballet Slippers, Black Slip-on Tap Shoes

Combo II

Suitable for ages 6-8. This class Introduces the basic steps of ballet, tap, and jazz. Shoes for all 3 disciplines are REQUIRED. Each class will either focus on all 3 OR 2 will be focused on according to the instructor’s discretion on a rotating basis.

Attire: Black Leotard (Ballet wrap skirt or dance shorts w/ leotard accepted), Pink or Tan transition tights, Pink Ballet Slippers, Black Tap Shoes (Slip-on preferred for quick transitions), Tan Jazz Shoes

Combo III

Suitable for ages 9-11. Continues student’s study of ballet while introducing lyrical, an expressive form of dance. Dancers will still participate in Tap & Jazz as well.

Combo IV

Suitable for ages 12-14. Continues student’s study of ballet while introducing lyrical, an expressive form of dance. Dancers will still participate in Tap & Jazz as well.

Combo V

Suitable for ages 15-18. Continues student’s study of ballet while introducing lyrical, an expressive form of dance. Dancers will still participate in Tap & Jazz as well.
